My Parents

The Infamous Antoine

My grandparents would not talk about him.

My grand-father told me one day he left with a “woman”.

My parents spent a lot of time trying to find him.

I finally found him when archives were digitized.

He had been sent to the penitentiary of Cayenne (Guyana) in 1907 where he died January 10, 1915. I could not find why he was sent there.

1957: my Grandparents

1994: Celebrating my grandmother’s 98th birthday

June 12, 1996: We celebrated her 100th birthday.

Here with her 1st grandkid and her 25th great grandkid.

She died four days later.
